Introduction:
In this workshop, the textual variances of difference texts will be discussed. Apart from television broadcasts, newspapers, magazines, and other online media platforms, the mass media appears in numerous other forms today. The same incident is often reported differently. Interestingly, the same applies to ancient texts, such as “GōngYáng Zhuàn, “GǔLiáng Zhuàn” and “Zuǒ Zhuàn”. These are all commentaries of the ” ChūnQiū “, but each with a different perspective and focus. Through the reading of ancient texts and modern written news, the reasons behind these differences are analysed in the light of understanding the importance of writing perspective.
