Introduction:
“The combination of Song Ci and Virtual Reality (VR)” is a workshop that use Xin Qiji’s famous article <青玉案 Yuan Xi> in the Song Dynasty as the blueprint to reproduce the words of the Song Ci about the Lantern Festival in the form of VR. Students will not just recognize the plentiful and aesthetical festival descriptions by Xin, but also participate in an interactive project, rendering the experience of classical words gained more realistic and authentic. This interactive project in VR enhances the students’ appreciation of the meaning of the author’s words. It also strengthens the students’ understanding on the Chinese ancient music, festival customs and traditional culture.
