Jiang Tao is a Professor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University. He used to be a visiting associate professor in the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Nihon University and in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. He serves as the deputy secretary-general of the Modern Chinese Literature Research Association, the vice dean of the Institute of Chinese Poetry at Peking University, and the executive editor-in-chief of the academic journal “New Poetry Review”. He is mainly engaged in the research on modern Chinese literature and the history of New Poetry in the 20th century.
