Profile

Dr. Lam Lai Ling graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Philosophy, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Chinese Language and Literature. She is currently a lecturer in our department. Over the years, She has received several awards for her teaching excellence, including the Department of Chinese Language and Literature’s Outstanding Teaching Award, the Faculty of Arts’ Outstanding Teaching Award, and the Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award.

 

Dr. Lam’s research areas include Pre-Qin and Han Dynasty texts, Han-Tang commentaries, philology, lexicology, and Chinese language pedagogy. She is the author of 《先秦兩漢文獻傳注叢考詞彙.訓詁.傳承》and《古籍傳注異文訓詁集證》. She has also published numerous peer-reviewed academic papers. Dr. Lam has led multiple teaching research projects, including Ancient Chinese Texts Online: Enhancing Students’ Chinese Writing Skills through the Study of Classical SayingsA Project of Igniting Creativity through Experiential LearningChinese across the Curriculum: collaboration with Colleges and the Office of University General Education, and Students as partners in Language Enhancement: Game your way to Chinese.
