Dr. WONG Wun Yu graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), obtaining her degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy. Her main academic interests are Chinese phonology and Chinese dialectology, with a particular focus on the studies of Cantonese and Hakka. She taught at several tertiary institutions after receiving her doctoral degree, gaining a deeper understanding of students’ diverse learning needs.
Dr. WONG is currently a lecturer in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at CUHK, teaching courses including University Chinese, Introduction to Chinese Phonology, Introduction to Chinese Linguistics, Cantonese Phonetics and Romanization, etc.
