Dr. YAU Ting Kit Kevin

Dr. Yau obtained his Ph.D. from the department and has remained to teach here. He was a visiting member of the Institute of Literature and Philosophy (Academia Sinica) in 2019. In 2023, he published his monograph, which discusses Lu Xun, Chen Duxiu, and Cai Yuanpei. Dr. Yau focuses on literary and cultural trends from the late Qing dynasty to contemporary times, placing particular emphasis on tracing the sources of modern literary materials. In recent years, he has been interested in the formation and transformation of Europe-Asia thought, Sino-Japanese cultural translation, and the Chinese aesthetic education movement.
