The “Language Map of CUHK”(中大文學地圖) provides a platform for posting and reading creative articles on various locations within CUHK campus. It aims at promoting the creative atmosphere in campus and enhancing students’ observation and descriptive skills, which in turn support the teaching and learning of the University’s core course “University Chinese”(大學中文). The “Language Map of CUHK” includes dozens of creative articles on CUHK campus from famous writers and our students which can express their feelings and thoughts on different landscapes in CUHK. The “Ancient Chinese Text Online” website features curated quotes from ancient Chinese texts, organized into various categories. Each quote includes traditional explanations, word meanings, and related passages. With search functionality and a personalized learning system, including a “Daily Quote” feature, the platform helps students enhance their classical Chinese vocabulary, deepen their understanding of ancient Chinese thought and culture, and apply these insights in practice.

The “Classical Poetry Learning Website” categorizes classical poetry by various life themes, showcasing the connection between classical poetry and daily life and culture. It promotes the study of classical poetry by analyzing its content and artistic techniques from multiple perspectives, aiming to enhance students’ ability to read and appreciate classical poetry. Additionally, it supports the teaching and learning of classical literature in the course of “University Chinese”.
“ERYA” is an AI-assisted learning tool designed specifically for University Chinese courses, with the aim of improving teaching quality and learning outcomes. It features intelligent dialogue, topic-based text generation, article analysis, and personalized writing advice tailored to students’ individual needs. These features not only strengthen students’ language foundation, but also improve their writing skills. The diverse features of ” ERYA” bring innovative support to the teaching and learning of University Chinese.
CanTONEse is an App which aims to provide Non-Cantonese native speaking students with an online learning platform to enhance their Cantonese learning. Instead of helping the non-Cantonese native students memorize the tone of every character, the app try to emphasize the general difference between 6 Cantonese tones. Teaching materials with recordings, self-assessment exercises, daily conversations and an interactive game are available in the App.
